Raimona National Park inaugurated today
Guwahati, June 10 (NKTV): Assam Forest minister Parimal Suklabaidya today formally inaugurated the Raimona National Park (RNP) in Gossaigaon in presence of BTR CEM Pramod Boro.
It may be mentioned here that Raimona was accredited as a National Park by the Government on June 05.
At the inauguration ceremony, Parimal Suklabaidya said that the BJP led NDA Government is committed to work for the welfare and development of the BTR region. “The Raimona National Park shall attract tourism in the region as well as serve as a site for nature and environment conservation” he said.
“People’s help and cooperation will be a primary factor to bring the National Park name and fame in the coming days” the Minister added.
The Minister also informed that wild animals would be translocated to Raimona National Park from other parks within a few days.
BTR CEM Pramod Boro expressed his happiness and gratitude for this initiative of the state government. “We must conserve natural habitat and wildlife in the region”, said Boro.
