As the Rajasthan Royals prepare to take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru tonight at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Rajasthan-based franchise’s passionate supporters were given the chance of a lifetime with 200 lucky students making a special trip from Jaipur to Ahmedabad to support their team via the Royals Fan Express, which makes a return for the first time since being launched in 2022 when the Royals had reached the Playoffs and also the Final.

These students, who were selected on the basis of their passion for the Royals, hail from Jaipur’s Poornima University, and made the 12-hour road journey which provides them with the chance to cheer for the Royals tonight. The students were seen holding placards and banners at the start of their journey from Jaipur to showcase their support for their favourite Royals’ players including captain Sanju Samson, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, all-rounder Riyan Parag, among others.

Commenting on the thinking behind reintroducing the Royals Fan Express, Royals’ Chief Executive Officer Jake Lush McCrum said, “We are thrilled to reintroduce the Royals Fan Express, this time taking 200 lucky students from Jaipur to Ahmedabad to support the boys on the field. We have had immense support from the students of Poornima University through the IPL season and are delighted to be able to give back in such an exciting way.”

The Royals had also launched a limited-time mega contest for their fans, powered by their Official Partner HMD, which allowed interested individuals to follow simple steps and earn a chance to win grand prizes including an all-expenses paid trip to Ahmedabad to witness the final stage of the tournament. The winner of the mega contest has also made their way to Ahmedabad and will be enjoying tonight’s match.
