Guwahati, June 18 (NKTV): Seven Sisters Development Assistance(SeSTA), a not-for-profit organisation is coming forward to support the local medical agencies during the hour of need in Dewarpara, Bijni and Chaitangur VCDC of Manikpur Block, Chirang. In their joint initiative medical essentials like Infrared Digital Thermometer, Oximeter, sanitizer, Facemask, Medicines like Becosule, Immuguard, ZU-C 500-tab etc are distributed in three Sub-Centres to fight the battle against covid-19.
Manikpur SeSTA on 17th of June held an awareness cum distribution ceremony of essential medical items and supplies with support from Muthoot Group. The distribution ceremony was attended by Ajoy Roy, MLA bijni, Dr Owary SDMO, Ranjit Boro SDMO, NHM block CHC, chairman’s from dewanpara, bijni gaon and chaitanguri and other notable members.
MLA Ajoy Roy applauded the initiative of SeSTA for continuous support to the marginalized community for overall development and now in the fight against Covid, “I am really grateful towards SeSTA for arranging this event and bringing in a reputed organisation like Muthoot Finance to support the subcentres in my area, With the support of Muthoot group, the subcentres in my area will be able to take care of the patients and spread awareness in our area, I am really thankful to both SeSTA and Muthoot Group”.
The SeSTA group in association Muthoot fiannace is in the mission to spread awareness against the virus and support those in the extremely rural pockets who are severely affected by the 2nd wave of Covid virus. A group of Asha workers and Community Cadres responsible for community support will be trained to spread awareness in the villages under this two VCDCs.
Seven Sisters Development Assistance is engaged in distribution of Dry Ration, Medi kits and Makeshift Beds and other essentials in another 15 blocks of nine districts of the state.
