Guwahati, June 03 (NKTV): The Government of Sikkim has prioritized 100 per cent vaccination against COVID-19 for all citizens of the state. Beginning with healthcare workers, the state has opened up vaccination for all adults, with an aim, to vaccinate the entire population.
As informed by the Health Department of the state, around 2.4 lakh people have been administered COVID-19 vaccine in Sikkim till yesterday.
State Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Officer of the Health Department Sonam Gyalsten Bhutia informed that the vaccination drive for people of 18 years and above, which has been limited to state capital Gangtok and surrounding areas so far, will be expanded to cover the entire state month.
