Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly’s convoy was involved in a minor accident on Thursday in West Bengal’s Purba Bardhaman district, police confirmed on Friday. The incident occurred near Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway when a speeding lorry abruptly overtook Ganguly’s car.

To avoid a collision, the driver of Ganguly’s vehicle applied a sudden brake, causing a chain reaction that led to a minor collision with vehicles following closely behind in his convoy. A police officer from West Bengal stated, “One of the vehicles even made contact with the car carrying the former cricketer, and two vehicles in the convoy sustained slight damages.”

Despite the incident, Ganguly continued his journey and attended a scheduled event at Burdwan University without any further issues.
