Assam’s emerging young and energetic swimmer Shivangi Sarma has earned the ticket for the upcoming Asian Games. The swimmer earned the qualification badge for her tremendous performance in Senior Aquatics Championship held in Hyderabad.
She will participate in the 100 m freestyle event at the Asian Games. In the Senior Aquatics Championship Shivangi clocked 57.99 seconds to win a sliver medal. She has also won sliver medal in 4×100 m relay in Hyderabad. The Asian Games will be held from 23th September to 8th October in Hangzhou, China.
