Tarzan actor Joe Lara and his wife among 7 killed in plane crash at US
In a sensational incident, Tarzan actor Joe Lara and his wife Gwen died in a plane crash near a lake in the US city of Nashville. According to reports the plane was a Cessna Citation 501 plane which crashed into a lake shortly after it had taken off from the Smyrna Airport, south of Nashville.
All seven passengers on board died with the Tarzan actor and his wife. Joe Lara had acted as Tarzan in the 1989 television movie “Tarzan in Manhattan.” He later starred in the television series “Tarzan: The Epic Adventures,” which ran from 1996-1997.
While his wife Gwen Shamblin Lara, whom he married in 2018, was the leader of a Christian weight-loss group called Weigh Down Ministries.
