Guwahati, August 31 (NKTV): A team of the Forest Department and Kokrajhar Police seized a truck laden with teak wood worth nine lakh rupees at Karigaon in Kokrajhar. It may be mentioned here that the truck was transporting the wood illegally from Kolkata to Byrnihat in Meghalaya.
The truck, bearing registration number RJ 27 GC 1603, was intercepted by the police at a naka checking.
Both staff members of the truck, identified as Prabhulal Goyri and Lakbhinder Singh, have been arrested by the police.
