Tension along Assam-Mizoram border

Guwahati, June 29 (NKTV): Tension has escalated again along the Assam-Mizoram border in Hailakandi district following encroachment by Mizos. Allegedly, Mizos have encroached forward up to 10 kilometres into Assam’s land in the region and set up agricultural establishments. Even, the police was not allowed to enter the encroached land by Mizo organisations.

KMSS has urged Assam Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya to free the land from Mizo encroachers.
