Guwahati, August 09 (NKTV): On August 09, 1945, the United States dropped the second nuclear bomb on Nagasaki – Fat Man. The bomb killed over 80,000 people that led to Japan’s surrender in the second World War.
The after effects (radiation) of the bombing also killed thousands of people later and its impact can be felt till date.
It may be mentioned here that Nagasaki Day is being observed promote peace and create awareness on the threats of nuclear weapons.
