Tokyo Olympics: Mary Kom advances to round of 16
Guwahati, July 25 (NKTV): World Champion and star Indian boxer MC Mary Kom has advanced to round 16 of Tokyo Olympics by defeating Dominician Republic’s Miguelina Hernandez 4-1 in her round of 32 bout. With this win, Mary Kom have reached pre-quaters of women’s flyweight (48-51 kg) category.
Mary Kom is the only female to win the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medal.
