Tokyo Olympics to kick off at 4:30 PM today

Guwahati, July 23 (NKTV): After delay of one year because of the Corona virus pandemic, the Tokyo Olympic Games is all set to get underway with the scaled down opening ceremony today evening.

The opening ceremony will kick off at 4:30 PM Indian time at the newly-built National Stadium in Tokyo.

About 950 people, including officials and reporters will be allowed to watch the ceremony. The march-past will be conducted in the Japanese alphabetical order.

From India, only 28 members, comprising six officials and 22 athletes will participate in the Opening Ceremony. Indian men’s hockey team captain Manpreet Singh will be the flag-bearer alongside boxer MC Mary Kom.
