In light of the proposed superstructure work for the flyover near Downtown Hospital on G.S. Road, which involves the launching and erection of a steel girder, traffic diversion will be implemented from the midnight of March 3, 2025. This is being done to ensure the safety of the public, particularly vulnerable road users such as children, students, women, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals, as well as to provide clear passage for emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire tenders.

The following traffic regulations will be in effect from 11:30 PM to 4:30 AM daily, starting from March 3, 2025, until the completion of the construction work:

  1. Traffic on G.S. Road between Sixmile Flyover and Downtown (both directions) will be stopped from 11:30 PM to 4:30 AM daily.
  2. Vehicles coming from the Khanapara side towards VIP Road/Panjabari Road/Jayanagar Road may continue their journey via the service road of the Sixmile Flyover.
  3. Vehicles coming from the Khanapara side towards Dispur are advised to take the Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road, and Last Gate routes, using the service lane of the Sixmile Flyover.
  4. Vehicles coming from the Panjabari side towards Dispur may also take the Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road, and Last Gate routes.
  5. Vehicles from the Sachal/Ananda Nagar side towards Dispur may follow the same route via Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road, and Last Gate.
