UPSC civil services preliminary exams postponed amid Covid-19 crisis

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the preliminary examinations of Civil services 2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation in the country. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to be held on June 27.

The Commission has said that the exam will now be held on October 10, 2021. In a statement released by the commission they said “Due to the prevailing conditions caused by #COVID19, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) deferred the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June, 2021. Now, this Examination will be held on 10th October, 2021.”

Earlier, UPSC had recently postponed several exams due to the ongoing second wave of dreaded Covid-19. Recruitment exams like SSC CGL and some exams of SSC CHSL have also been postponed amid the Covid-19 crisis.
