Guwahati, July 14 (NKTV): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today informed that three kilograms of morphine and Rs 1.8 crore rupees in cash have been seized along with other contraband items in the last two month.
“27 kilograms of Heroin worth over 50 crore rupees in the international market have been seized by the police. We cannot even explain the threat it posed” Sarma said.
Citing example of the movie Udta Punjab, the CM said “We were moving towards the direction of Udta Assam and unfortunately, we did not know about it and never discussed about the same”.
