Guwahati, June 12 (NKTV): The city of Guwahati has been prey to artificial flood year after year and this year too, the same is on the path of repetition. It may be mentioned here that the cleansing of the drains across Guwahati is presently put on hold as the GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) is not satisfied with the works of as many as 71 contractors after reviewing the works.
Commissioner of GMC has informed that the GMC is prepared. “However, we can not say that we are 100% prepared” he added.
